about malma *

Malma was created as a place where people can slow down, reconnect with their creativity, and experience the simple pleasure of making something with their hands. In a world that often feels fast-paced and screen-filled, we wanted to create a space that invites curiosity, play, and presence.

At Malma, we believe that creativity belongs to everyone. Making art isn't about talent or perfection, it's about exploration, self-expression, and giving yourself permission to try something new. Whether you're picking up a paintbrush for the first time or returning to a creative practice you've loved for years, you'll find a welcoming environment where the process matters more than the outcome.

Our Art Café offers a menu of creative experiences, from painting and collage to printmaking, paper crafts, and more. Choose a medium that sparks your curiosity, settle in with a drink, and create at your own pace.

Alongside the Art Café, we host a growing programme of workshops, artist-led experiences, and creative events designed to inspire, connect, and introduce new ways of making. From bookbinding and embroidery to guest artist collaborations and community gatherings, there's always something new to explore.

Above all, we hope Malma is a place where people feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are. A place to create, unwind, meet like-minded people, learn something new, and remember that creativity is something we all carry within us.

Meet the Team

We're Mia and Aglaë, the team behind Malma. What started as a shared love of creativity has grown into a space where people can explore new crafts, meet like-minded people, and enjoy the simple pleasure of making something with their hands. Seeing visitors discover a new hobby, surprise themselves, or simply enjoy a creative afternoon is what keeps us inspired.
